The tour starts from Amalfi and Vietri sul Mare and immediately follows one of the most scenic roads in Italy, officially beginning the Amalfi Coast journey. In Amalfi you will have time to admire the magnificent Cathedral of Sant’Andrea, stroll through the lively squares, explore artisan shops, and soak in the Mediterranean atmosphere characterized by colorful ceramics, lemon scents, and stunning sea views. Driving along the coastline, you will pass through picturesque villages such as Cetara, famous for its traditional anchovy fishing, and Maiori. Shortly after Minori, there will be a brief stop at the renowned pastry shop Sal De Riso, world-famous for having invented the iconic dessert Ricotta e Pera, for a short break and photo opportunity.
The first main stop of about 1 hour is Ravello, the elegant “City of Music.” Walking through its narrow streets and characteristic shops, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Amalfi Coast. Highlights include Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, whose terraces and gardens offer unforgettable vistas. A lunch stop is recommended by the driver, with options ranging from excellent Neapolitan pizza to high-quality fresh fish restaurants.
After exploring the coast, the tour proceeds inland toward Pompeii, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. You will walk along ancient Roman streets, discovering houses, shops, frescoes, temples, theaters, and public squares that reveal everyday life from over two thousand years ago
Please note: A licensed archaeologist is available upon request and can be added as an optional service during booking.
